Abandoned Irrigation, Thorp WA


Exploring parts of the old US Highway 10, I saw some old irrigation aqueducts near Thorp. The waterway parallels the highway for a number of miles.

Modern irrigation projects rely on canals instead of elevated pipeways.

    I spent the first 17 years of my life living on highway 10 there. I used to run up and down those after they stopped using them. They looked small from the road but were huge when you got to them.
